Argan Oil

DESCRIPTION: Neroli Hydrosol is a water solution infused with the essence of the neroli blossom. Often during the extraction process of essential oils some of the aromatic and healing principles of the plants are lost. Certain components of essential oils are hydrophilic, meaning they dissolve in water, so the process of producing a hydrosol allows one to capture the full essence of the plant delivering its complete arsenal of capabilities. Neroli hydrosol is derived from the blossom of the bitter orange (Citrus aurantium var. amara) tree, much like the essential oil. This tree is native to Eastern Africa, India and the Himalayas and thrives in moderate climates. This hydrosol has a long history of use. Dating back to the fourteenth century, it was used as a scent for household linen. In the sixteenth and seventeenth century, orange blossom trees were cultivated in France to be used in the perfume industry as well as in cuisine. The witch hazel plant is found in North America and has been used in traditional indigenous medicine for centuries. Witch hazel is an astringent with multiple skincare benefits. Indigenous cultures in North America use this astringent to treat swellings, inflammations and tumors. Their healing methods using this ingredient were adopted by early Puritan settlers once they arrived from Europe. The products are nice. I like the scents and textures. Four stars because I can’t say I’ve been wowed or noticed any significant difference with my skin. It’s been almost a month so maybe I won’t. I may purchase the travel size again simply for travel convenience. I also bought the sunscreen and Nordic Boost serum. While also nice, again not wowed, although I do really like the feel of the sunscreen. A bit more time may tell. Great customer service!

Though I've used as many natural and organic products for as long as I can, as a 58 year old woman who is still dealing with hormonal jawline scarring and breakouts; I have now had to resort to other clinical, high profile brands. I love Cocoon, and what you stand for, but the products are just not giving me the results that I need as I continue to deal with some difficult skin issues. If you do not have any skin issues, this line is lovely, light, and have a wonderful breezy and sweet fragrance as well. I would still recommend Cocoon Apothecary!
