Our Journey

Cocoon Apothecary was born out of a simple yet powerful belief: skincare should be good for you and good for the planet. It all began in 2003 when our founder Jessia Burman set out to create something special. After witnessing the transformative effects of a natural cream on her mother’s sensitive skin, she realized there was a need for clean, nourishing skincare made from ingredients you could trust. She started experimenting with botanicals in her kitchen, blending natural ingredients that were as gentle as they were effective, determined to create a line for everyone.

By 2006, Cocoon Apothecary had grown into a small but passionate business, launching our first website and sharing these handcrafted products with a wider audience. The journey wasn’t always easy, but with each order, the connection with our customers deepened. Every story shared about how our products helped sensitive skin or made someone feel truly cared for pushed us to keep going.

In 2014, we moved into our first factory, staying true to our roots of crafting skincare in small batches while embracing the growth that came with your trust and support. And in 2023, we opened our spa, a dream we’ve had since day one—to create a space where people could immerse themselves in the full Cocoon experience, where nature and self-care come together.
