EMBARK ON A FRAGRANT VOYAGE

Join us for an aromatic adventure as we journey through the diverse scent regions of the world. Over four enlightening sessions, we'll delve into the natural notes that shape the perfume industry, exploring their scent properties, traditional uses, trade significance, and perfumery applications. From harvesting to extraction and processing, discover the fascinating journey of each scent. Each class will focus on a specific region, featuring 10 unique notes.

Each session is $100 and you can choose to attend one or all four.

Cocoon Spa'thecary - 165 King St. W. Kitchener Ontario

Weather permitting, we invite you to join us on the spa's stunning rooftop lounge, offering charming views of Victoria Park and Downtown Kitchener. In the event of rain, we've got you covered with a spacious indoor area downstairs. Plus, parking is a breeze with ample space available at City Hall, conveniently located across the street, and free on Sundays. Roof and basement are wheelchair accessible.

WHEN

The courses will be held on the last Sunday of each month in May, June, July, and August. They run from 2 pm to 4pm. 

YOUR GUIDE

Jessica Burman has dedicated the past two decades to harnessing the power of natural scent as a formulator for Cocoon Apothecary. Her journey began in 2004 when she earned her certification in aromatology, laying the foundation for her expertise in the art of fragrance. Seeking to deepen her knowledge, Jessica embarked on a transformative journey to the Grasse Institute of Perfumery in France in 2018, immersing herself in the rich history and tradition of perfumery. It was there that she refined her craft under the guidance of industry experts, honing her skills to create captivating and harmonious scents. Additionally, Jessica had the privilege of learning essential oil distillation from the esteemed Ann Harman at the Circle H Institute in Washington State, further enhancing her understanding of botanical extraction methods. With her wealth of experience and passion for natural fragrance, Jessica continues to craft exquisite scents that captivate the senses and evoke a profound connection to nature.
